Small wind tunnels specially used to determine some property and elements of materials and devices for experimental purposes, entail high accuracy measurements: The signals coming from various sensors and units should be processed with the highest level of accuracy and drawn as a graph as the experiments begin, so a real-time system has been implemented in order to obviate the requirements of the project.
In this case, Visual C++ have been used to develop a software for monitoring and controlling of sections of the system such as �CO2 spray� and �Fire� units. A Microchip PIC processor with a USB protocol in order to communicate with the GUI program have been employed, giving a full access to manage the observe, analyze and manage the system during the experiment period.
